The DAMbots entered Dawn through her ear in a desperate bid to hide from Commander Bloodsmith, who has chased them half way across the galaxy, or maybe from the nearest micro-meteor – who knows? When they crash-landed, Fooba got captured by white blood cells and transformed into a hybrid with a bit of an anger problem.
Many months later, Fooba went to fight the DAMbots and only stopped when Ballistik proved he wasn’t such a gun-obsessed microbot by sacrificing his gun-arm. Fooba revealed she had seen a god and took the DAMbots to see it, but on the way they were ambushed by Four-Axe, one of Bloodsmith’s microbots that was sent out by his vampyric henchbot, Doktor Von Gorebot.
Eventually the DAMbots were able to defeat Four-Axe and meet the god, which turned out to be a baby growing inside of Dawn. (If you’re going to ask me about the birds and the bees, I’m not telling… Though, I heard there’s a shortage of bees these days, which is good news for the remaining ones as they get the pick of all the birds!) The baby seems unable to produce white blood cells and only the DAMbots can save it, but they have to ‘move home’ to do so…
At the last heartbeat, Bloodsmith learns the location of the DAMbots from a tracking signal activated on the defeated Four-Axe and sends an army of Four-Axes to deal with them.
